Can family members apply together for Jus Sanguinis?

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Can family members apply together for Jus Sanguinis?

Post by _Chiara »

My mother and I would like to apply together for Jus Sanguinis. If we live in the same jurisdiction and are covered by the same consulate, is it possible to apply together with only one set of documents?

This would simplify things greatly!

(Might be useful to add that I am quite eager to get it with the aim of moving to the EU in the not-so-distant future.)

That should not be a problem. Just let the consulate know when you schedule your appointment. My son and I applied together in New York with one document set.

I just booked my appointment with the New York consulate and the confirmation e-mail I received said I should let them know ASAP if any other family members would be joining me for the appointment.
