Della Bona & Pivirotto, Zambianco & Menegus - Vodo C

Post by djahde »

Looking for any info on my Great-great-great grandparents Giovanni Della Bona and Giacoma Pivirotto and whether they originated from Vinigo, Vodo di Cadore. I know both names are indigenous to the area.

They had a son, Luigi Della Bona, born Feb 9, 1844 who is my great-great grandfather.

Also looking for any info on his wife's (Anna Catterina Zambianco b. May 18, 1848 in Vodo Cadore) parents.

Gio Battista Zambianco and Catterina Menegus.

I am not sure where in Italy Zambianco or Menegus is from. The names are not indigenous to the hamlet.

Any info would be great, if anyone knows anything further.

Hi,
i am doing some research in the area and was able to find the baptismal act of Luigi Dalla Bona, son of Giovanni of Pietro and Giacoma Pivirotto of Andrea, born in Vinigo the date you indicated and baptized the same day.
I also found Anna Catharina Zambianco that was born in Vinigo and not in Vodo.
From the research I have done through the years in the area, I can say that Menegus is a surname that comes from San Vito, while you find Zambianco a little bit everywhere.

I hope this helps.
Best regards
