Thank you both for your help. I'll be Bart died in 1911 and I will look at videos. I was wondering if naming patterns would help
Bart Margiotta b. 2 Sep 1843 m. ? Maria Ippolita Telesca b.28 Nov 1852
Their male children are
Canio b.11 Jan 1876, Gusieppe 11 Jun 1879, Antonio b. aft 1879

Maria's parents are Canio Telesca and Anna Santoro. Could it be Bart's father is a Canio too and would that help me? I don't know any of Bart's siblings.

Of all the surnames in the Avigliano Records there aren't very many Margiotta's. Again not sure what I would look for.

You will have to get the marriage act of Bart Margiotta b. 2 Sep 1843 Maria Ippolita Telesca b.28 Nov 1852 from Family History Library it will give the info you need parents of both and maybe more. I would guess it is between 1870 -1876 would make Maria between 18-24 years old

I used to go to LDS library with my father years back when we first started all this. Will have to go back again to get Bart's information.

Re: Canio Margiotta

He died in 1935 in Waterbury, CT. According to my father, Canio's father Bartelomeo left his wife in Italy one morning and never returned (as he had threatened to do many times because she, apparently, was "difficult") and rumor had it he ended up in South America where he started another Margiotta family.
