Vinci, Carl from Italy, died in US

Post by LauraTex »

Hi, I looked at the other records for Vinci's and they do not seem to match. My great nana Vinci maiden name Teresa Lo Presti or Teresa Presticozzo married a Carl Vinci. They lived in Cleveland. He committed suicide in 1928. They had several children, Pauline, Bertha, John, Josephine, Angeline and had boarders Joseph Brigneli and family. They lived at Cleveland Ward 11, Cuyahoga, Ohio.

If this sounds familiar please contact me. I heard thru the grapevine he did have a brother come here with him but the had a falling out and the brother went back to Italy.

Hi, Laura.

What sort of information are you looking for?

I'm guessing that you already have the 1920 US Census...

Jinny so sorry it took me 3 years to write back. Sure let's compare names. My great-grandpa was Carl Vinci. See info above. I am thinking my Vinci's came from Messina area in Sicily but who knows if there might be a connection.
