Re: 1838 pre marriage announcement need translated
I assume you are interested in the details that pertain to this couple getting married and not all the boilerplate on the Council of Trent or the mayor of Vicari's name (Fernando Gaita).
The bottom image is the first marriage bann. It has the least detail. The middle image is the 2nd bann, generally published about a week later (although not in this case). The top one is just the uninteresting part of the 2nd bann.
The 1st bann says that Simone Agozino, son of the late Giuseppe (Agozino) and the late Antonina Calandra, and Marianna Cavaretta, daughter of the still living Gaetano (Cavaretta) and deceased Anna Maria Pizzo, intend to marry. It is dated 21 Jan 1838. Several mistakes were corrected on it, such as the surname of the groom-to-be's mother and the fact that Gaetano was not dead.
The 2nd record is dated 6 Feb 1838 and repeats the same details with some additional information, namely, the ages of couple and their places of residence as well as the places of residence of the parents who are alive and the occupations of all living men named on the record. In particular, the groom-to-be is 23, the bride-to-be is 21, and both of them as well as the bride's father reside in Vicari. Simone and Gaetano are peasants.
The bride-to-be's given name in the 2nd bann is Maria Anna instead of Marianna.
