I have documents to share and would also like to know more about our family.
The Musa patriarch in East NY Brooklyn was William Musa, a fruit and veg man who owned his own business. He was from Soragna.
The Gardellas of Detroit? I do not know much about them but my grandfather was Alexander a/k/a Anthony Gardella. They, as apparently all Gardellas, were from Neirone.
I have so much paper now after years of researching and, thankfully, being left documents from deceased relatives.
I am the last of my (cousins' ) generation.
If you are a Musa from Soragna and/or Brooklyn, NYC or a Gardella from Detroit and/or Neirone, please get in touch with me. Live is short.
Very best regards,
Maddalena

Re: Seeking Musa Family from Brooklyn and Gardella from Detr
Louis may be ours. John is not although perhaps a extended family member.
Louis and Louise are big family names with us.
My family mostly lived on Vermont Street in East NY Brooklyn, a neighborhood still named as such.
Nonno, my great grandfather who died 17 years before I was born had a fruit stand on Fulton Street in Brooklyn. He and the family lived close by on Vermont Street.
I am looking for the years, 1900 through 1930. Musa fruit and vegetables on Fulton Street, Brooklyn?
Just a guess for me.
You are so kind to help me with this.
I have just received Nonno's death certificate from the NYC Municipal Archives. I now have the names of his parents from Soragna.
Nonno was not a Gardella. He was a Musa. His daughter, my grandmother married a Detroit Gardella.
I do know some Gardellas (Detroit and NYC). They may very well be distant relatives who made their claim in the New World in Lower Manhattan. But the Musas resided in Brooklyn.
Thank you for everything, Pietro.
