Pacini/DiNasso - Lucca & Livorno

Post by tlisti »

Hello. I am interested in finding out more about my GGfather, Lewis/Luigi Pacini. He was b in Lucca 1869, and married Esmerelda DiNasso, b 1879, Livorno. Lewis & Esmerelda had a daughter, Rena, b 1900, Livorno, and she a brother named Ilario/Tlario DiNasso, b 1880 in Leghorn. Their mother came to the United States as Maria Virgili, b 1858, she later married a Bernardoni in Houston, Texas.

My Pacini family came from Genoa to NY, then to Mississippi, then Galveston/Houston.

I am traveling to Italy this August, and would like to find out more about my family there. Any help?

Yes, this is my Lewis Pacini (name spelled wrong on census), his wife was Esmerelda.

Ship manifest: 1901
his wife, Esmerelda di Nasso Pacini,
figlia Rena
Esmerelda's brother Illario di Nasso. (naturalization papers say he was born in Leghorn).

1910 Pass Christian Harrison, MS: Esmerelda Pacini and children; brother Ilario diNasso. Her Mother, Maria Virgili lives next door with husband Victor Bernardoni.

Dena Pacini is my Grandmother, and showed his fathers name as Sam Pacini on death cert.

Wow, Thanks again, Marty! I plan to visit all these places on my trip.
