Identifying people from Family Photos

Post by rp76226 »

I have several photos of my grandmother's brother and sisters in Italy with their families. I know the name of the brother or sisters in each photo, and in some cases the name of the spouse, but I do not know the names of the other family members (children and grandchildren) in the photos. These family members were born much later than there are existing 'public' accessible records. I know the odds are against it, but is there a site or some other method available to publish these for other potential family members to see them and communicate to me?

Have you tried Ancestry? I think you can put a family tree on there for free and upload photos. I have found lost cousins on there. We shared pictures.

I have a tree with over 36,000 people and almost 7,000 photos on Ancestry.com
