We knew of a Henrietta (Enrichetta) in the family, she moved to the States as a child, but "Antonio di *Andrea*" is wonderful news, thank you!!!

My God, thank you so much!

So Maggiorina Gelvitto was not a foundling, I thought the name was made up after days of search (though her father Ambrosio could have been one).

Now we know there really is a "Twin gene" in the family, grandmother Inez Bazzurro (married Monteverde) was a surviving twin, her sister didn't make it. The younger generation had more luck!

to add to Marty's translation-this document reads that Maggiorina Gelvitto was the daughter of deceased Pietro whereas the other document said deceased Ambrogio.

Great job finding that marriage record, Marty! :-)

FYI - Antonio Bazurro was a porter [facchino] in the marriage record.
And I believe his mother's surname is Siri...

They also acknowledge the birth of their son, Michele Enrico, in 1885, Act #93 (which Marty posted earlier in this thread. :-)

I can't keep up, haha! :))

The name Gelvitto is, again, clearly spelled out, that's wonderful.
I think I found her and Antonio as a couple in the Familysearch database, but the surnames were butchered, Bassurro and Gelvita (the attached record is Angelo Bazzurro's and Liberata Grassi's marriage record, which I have in front of me, and indeed it looks like Gelvita).

@Tessa

Oh great, thank you!

Yes I thought there was at least one birth before their wedding in 1888, Angelo's birth date should be 1887 (counting back on the marriage record).

That's great they acknowledged Enrico in writing!

So Maggiorina was a foundling after all, and later, on the birth records of her children, I guess, she made up a grandfather for them, kind of understandable.
