re:diocesi di avellino

i've been trying to locate,if possible,the death record for my paternal 2nd great grandmother,rosa martino(my paternal grandfather's paternal grandmother)who i'm pretty certain died in luogosano avellino ca.1862-1865.i've done intense research over the years so i've narrowed the search down.unfortunately these very years are missing in both the comune archives and at the state archives as well.i also tried the local parish of s.maria maggiore e s.marcellino with no luck.i've tried writing to the diocese in avellino several times with no response.somewhere these"missing years" must exist,as why would they be the only missing years in the time period covered by civil records(1809-1910) and most likely parish records as well? has anyone out there had any luck with the avellino diocese? any help or suggestions are welcome.
