Other info would be helpful - do you have any idea of approximately when she immigrated? Was she single, married, or widowed when travelling? Do you know where in Italy she came from? Any known family members we might find her traveling with, or going to meet, or leaving behind?

Great find, suanj! :-)

However, I believe she is joining husband Salvatore Gangi Chiodo :)

Here is the birth of daughter Maddalena :-D

Birth of Maddalena Gangi Chiodo in 1899

#75
Dated 10 May 1899 at 9:20 AM at the town office in Alimena
Appeared Ignazia Alaria, 52, midwife, to declare that at 8 PM on the 9th of the current month, at the place at Via Magazzini, to Rosa Federico, housewife, wife of Salvatore Gangi Chiodo, peasant farmer, both residents of Alimena, was born a female child who was given the name MADDALENA
The midwife made the declaration because she helped with the birth, and because the husband of Federico was not able because he was in the country.

Yes, suanj :D , it was very difficult to read. I was only able to decipher AFTER finding the husband's name on the birth record
