Hi all
I know that for centuries, women would be married in their hometown if marrying an out-of-towner. But does this tradition still occur today in Italy?

And more precisely, in the parish where they were baptized. I don't know how much this tradition has held, I am curious as well.

Re: marriage custom
To my knowledge the tradition is still valid although often the marriage is celebrated in a different churches or even town.
In any case you must have the clearance from the bride's parish (in case of religious marriage) and from the mayor of the bride's town.
