Hi Dolores
Rosa was born on March 3, 1878 in the house at #5 contrada(?) Fontana Michele. Her father, Francesco Saverio Cipriano, was a 36 year old peasant living in Frigento. Her mother, Rosaria Cocchiola was also a peasant, living with her husband.

In the margin are notations for two of her marriages. The first was on Oct 22, 1904 to Giuseppantonio Pugliese, the son of deceased Francesco. The second on Nov 15, 1909 to Gaetano D'Ambrosio. Here are links to the actual marriage records. I just got back and have not had a chance to look these over yet. As soon as I do, I will get back to you with the specifics.

Thank you so much, Erudita. Do you think it was just an oversight that her first marriage was not noted?

Hi Dolores
I just looked through other 1909 marriage records in this section, and I don't see marital status of the spouses given in any of those records. Plus I don't see anything about death records of former spouses, or of deceased parents, listed among the documents presented for any of the marriages, although we know such documents would have been required. In other towns, I have seen such info included in the bottom handwritten section of atti di matrimonio, but not in these Frigento records. All I can say is different strokes for different folks. Even when there were form-like civil records such as this one, things were sometimes done differently in different towns.
