street or decedent name?

Post by dmt1955 »

http://s18.postimg.org/654o1bye1/1853_T ... _death.jpg

i am trying to determine if the name Coluccio belongs to the street or to the decedent. i cannot find in the birth records 1837 - 1840 another birth to these parents. i have Angiolo born in 1836 and
Giuseppe in 1841 (and births in 1843, 1847, 1850) but I cannot find any other births between the first two (or before the marriage in late 1834)

i have seen other records with just 'strada macello' but i thought i would ask the question anyway as in this town the street names are not necessarily consistent.
any thoughts on this?

i appreciate any ideas, thanks so much

Looks to me like the decedent is named Coluccio Vita, son of the late Gaetano Vita.

I agree that Coluccio Vita is the child's name. The first name Coluccio is a diminutive of the name Niccolo.

erudita,
i appreciate the citaiton. thanks.....i was really hoping that Coluccio was also somehow related to Angiolo, not just Niccolo. i've got an angiolo but not an nicolo....

The town name is in the record. It's Tufo in Avellino Province.

This link just shows the most searched streets in the town in current times.

Peter,
As Erudita pointed out, the record is from Tufo. As I mentioned in my original post, Strada Macello is a street name I have seen in other records, I was just hoping against hope that Coluccio was part of the street name and NOT the name of the decedent because that means his birth record is missing.
