My understanding is that in Nov of 1855, the day is left blank, Giulia Lentini, never before married, age 26, the daughter of deceased Bruno Lentini, appeared before the town official of Badia, with her mother, Domenica Schimio, who was also living there. They indicated that the death of act of Giuseppe Lentini, Giulia's paternal grandfather, was missing from the registers. So Giulia gave a sworn statement, in the front of the witnesses listed, who also attested to the fact that the grandfather had been deceased for a long time. This was in accord with the requirements set forth by the Royal Decree of April 22, 1809 and was to be used for her marriage.

Many thanks. There is no mention that he was re-married ? I have two other records where Giuseppe seems to have two different wives over the years.

Thanks for your help again.

This is the transcription of a death act, released in Limbadi November 10 1853.
Giuseppe Lentini, aged 54, died in Mandaradoni on Jan 24 1832. Husband of Raffaela Eramo. (the names of his parents are left blank)

Thanks, does it mention that his first wife died at all ? I know his first wife was not Raffaela Eramo so am a bit lost why Raffaela has appeared on his death act. I can only assume he re-married. If you can let me know if any reference.

Thanks

I have found another copy of his death certificate from other records. If you would mind checking here if it refers to Rafaella Eramo as being his second wife ?

Thanks

This record just states that Giuseppe Lentini was Raffaela's husband. This means that she was the wife at the time of his death. There is no mention of a previous wife or wives.
