I don't agree with either poster so far about what they see as the first name.

The only way to read this would be to see the entire document and to read each letter alone 1 by 1, finding other letters in other words that are perfect matches. Not just by guessing based on a few letters that can be recognized.

From the amount of document I see, I read C r e s _ _ n _
But you aren't showing enough to compare properly.
C - because it looks like it
r - like the r in Sarto and in Ruggiero above
e - like the e in Ruggiero
s - like the s in Pasquale

Which really only leaves Crescenza, and the rest of the word doesn't seem to fit. So I'd really need to see more of the document to do better comparisons. Maybe its Cris, in which case it does look like Cristina.

But FOR SURE the 3rd letter does in no way look like an N, and both Concettina and Costantia/Costantina not only do not fit as they throw letters in spots which are clearly not those letters, and jumble the letters around (s is the 4th letters) and don't even fully match the number of letters in the word.

Not to be too critical of the others who have tried to help, but they are merely shots in the dark guessing names that start with C.

If you provide images of more of the document for better letter comparisons maybe there will be enough examples, but you can also try yourself - don't compare the full word, do each letter one at a time first (maybe with more than one possibility) and then put it all together to try and form a name. Its much more accurate than people helping you by guessing.

i posted this for another who asked my opinion. so, this is all of the document that i have available. i agree with you that it is always better to see the whole document to compare letters.

i will pass your thoughts on to the owner.
