i would appreciate help w/ the translation of the note dated 1 Jan 1893. I am unsure of the significance of the date 15 Nov 1865 # 2602(?) and something about registering a death.

thanks so much

Hi Donna
The note stated that on Jan 1, 1893 in Voltuara Irpina, I, Pasquale Luciano, mayor and official of the civil state, in execution of article 29 of the Royal Decree of Nov 15, 1865, #2602, declares that the present register of death, in which one finds written 107 acts in this first part, is closed.

erudita,
thanks so much for the translation. i thought it had significance to the death, given it's position on the page and the verification note along side.

Hi Donna
I've never before seen the closing of a part of the register for a given year written in such a fashion and also placed at the end of the text of the record itself. As always, happy to help you.
