#7 - Birth act of Saverio IEFFA (corrected from Montecalvo)

Dated 22 January 1869, at 9 AM at the town office...
Appeared Nicolangelo Ieffa, son of Luigi, age 33, peasant farmer residing in Frigento, to present to the official a male child who he declared was born on day 21 of January at 10 AM to his wife Raffaela Montecalvo, daughter of deceased Saverio, [she] residing with him at the place they live in this town at Strada San Rocco; and this child was given the name SAVERIO
Witnesses present at this declaration were Giuseppe Cicello(?), son of deceased Giovambattista, age 53, carpenter residing in Frigento; and Francesco Genova, son of deceased Gennaro(?), a carpenter residing there [Frigento]

Thank you very much, Tessa. Not what I was expecting but I'll take it! :) And could Cicello be Ciriello?

Looks like there are not enough letters! LOL
My guess is that it might be Cirello...

Happy to help. I'm sure I remember this surname in some of your indices in the past and there are at least two people with that surname listed in the Frigento white pages today.

I've tried writing to the only one I knew of in Frigento, several times, Antonio, but he never responded. Would be interested in whom else you found.............

Whoops, I might not have been so clear. I was referring to the name Ciullo which I found in the white pages. http://www.paginebianche.it/ricerca?qs= ... v=frigento (Francesco e Rocco)
