Mother's surname?

Post by sertolicell »

Please, can anyone identify the correct surname of Antonino Matteo Salvatore Oliveri's mother? He was born in Palermo (sezione Santa Ninfa) in 1820.
Is it Agostina Cafretta/Capretta/Cosietta/Cofiotto or something else?

All of the above surname suggestions would seem to be missing in present-day Sicily or non-existing according to Cognomix.it (http://www.cognomix.it/mappe-dei-cognomi-italiani)

Thanks, Roberto

Thanks to both of you. I see that you are correct, the second "s" fooled me.
Cassetta seems distributed throughout present-day Italy without any speficic association with Sicily. However, all Cassettas are located in the Palermo province, so I guess it all makes since after all.
