Marriage Record #11

Post by gentilejoy@yahoo.com »

Please help with translating groom's name info:
Regarding the groom, his surname seems to be Canino, yet his father seems to have a different surname. Please explain and provide father's surname. I can not understand the writing too well. Thank you.

Joy

the groom's father is Giuseppe (Canino is understood and not specifically written in the record). After his first name is the occupation calzolaio (shoemaker).

Oh my gosh, thanks Erudita! I totally mistook the occupation "calzolaio" to be a different surname than groom's name of Canino. Thanks for clarifying and translating this record-Joy.

I figured that's what happened, Joy. No problem. Just glad you asked for clarification.
