Two Questions About a Death Record

Post by amasi3 »

Hello!
I came across this death record for Apollonia Ponsillo of Caiazzo (CE):
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1hRLI ... sp=sharing
I can read most of this record - she was a seamstress, died May 4, 1901, age 85, father is Giuseppe, etc.

I do have two remaining questions:

1) Did Apollonia have two husbands? I know she was married to a Pietro Conte until his death in 1879, but I also see the name Alessandro Conte. It looks like there might be the word "due" which would make Pietro the 2nd husband?? Am I reading this line correctly?

2) What is the first name of Apollonia's mother? The maiden name appears to be Palma but I am unable to make out the first name (which appears to begin with an "N")

Thanks for the help!

The word you see is "dico" [called] Pietro... His name was Alessandro but he was called Pietro... so this is one and the same husband :-)

Her name is Palma [first name] Vaiuso [surname]
