Help deciphering surname

Post by tomasso3289 »

I am hoping that somebody can help me decipher the surname in the attached record.

The first/middle names are Maria Filomena. The last name looks like del Bon.....and I can't really make out the rest of it.

This ancestor was from southern Italy, specifically the Potenza area.

Any assistance would be most appreciated- thanks!

I'm reading "nata da Maria Gilomina del Bona sua ...(moglie)"
so "born from Maria Gilomina del Bona his ... (wife).

You are very welcome, Tomasso :)

Maybe. Tomasso also thought the second given name started with an F. The name Gilomina/Gilomena doesn't exist in any of my lists but I have seen the name Gilomina before in records.

Tomasso, are you able to post the complete record, or even better, the link to the actual record in question, so that we can have a comparison.
Angela :)
