Province or small town called Melitta

My fathers family was from Felitto, Italy. However I have found that my great grand grandparents lived in Castel San Lorenzo, Italy in the 1840's. They had a child born in Miletta, Italy. This is my question. I found Felitto, Caastel San Lorenzo on the map but cannot find Miletta. This child was born in 1887. Is it all the same but was given different names as the time frames changed?

Can you tell us more about where you found the reference to the name Melitta? Do you have a birth, marriage or other record? If so, could you post an image of the record?

The last three posts in this thread http://italiangenealogy.com/forum/off-topic/16472 link to a spreadsheet of all 37,000+ Italian frazione. I don't see anything that looks like a fit.

Except maybe Comune di Mileto, Provincia: Vibo Valentia, Regione: Calabria?

Maybe Melito Porto Salvo, Reggio Calabria province, Calabria region. There is a near village named San Lorenzo.
