Hello,
I'm hoping that maybe someone Italian or an expert in Italian genealogy can help me figure out where exactly was the locale Corand, Naples,Archdiocese of Naples in Southern Italy. The time period is the 1760s. The entry comes from the marriage record of my ancestor, Donato BELLO, who married a Creole woman in New Orleans back during the Spanish colonial period of Louisiana. Maybe his parents surnames can offer clues.
BELLO, Donato of Corand, Naples; Archdiocese of Naples (Victor & Marie DE LA MARO) m. 15 Jan. 1765 Suzanne MOREAU of Alabama (NO Ch.: v.B, 1765-1774)

Re: Location of Corand,Naples,Archdiocese of Naples, Italy
I have a copy of Donato Bello and Suzanne Moreau's marriage in New Orleans, Louisiana. However, I am trying to find out where was Corand located. It would be interesting, too, to learn the names of his parents andnay siblings he may have had.
Donato Bello came to America in service to the king of Spain and served in the Opelousas Post in Louisiana.

I'm sorry to add that what makes the matter harder is that at that time, all southern Italy belonged to what was called "Kingdom of Naples". So, "Corand" might even be anywhere in Southern Italy, not necessarily near Naples.
