I just located my grandfather's information in the U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007. It lists his place of birth as Ivantora, no further information listed. Other documents I have say he was born in Mantua, Lombardia, Italy. A Google search on Ivantora brings up Zero. Can anyone clarify this for me? Thank you.

I believe he was born in Mantova, which is the Italian name for Mantua
