Francis Riccio from West Hartford, CT in the 1940s

Post by cyannris »

I have recently transcribed hundreds of WWII letters that will be turned into a book soon. The letters were written by George A. Campbell from Hill City, Kansas. One of his buddies was Francis Riccio from 23 Nesbit Avenue, West Hartford, CT. I am just curious about Campbell's buddies as they all have made a place on my heart while working with these letters. Campbell was with the 191st Tank Battalion in Africa, Italy, France, and Germany. Any information about Francis Riccio would greatly be appreciated. Plus, I was thinking Riccio's family may would like to know that he is mentioned in an upcoming book.

By the way, Campbell is now deceased. He died in 1995 of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).
