I'm wondering what a "fucilare" is...it might be a rifle maker, or a soldier. "Merciaio" is a seller of things needed for sewing and tailoring. Thanks for the help Pippo! I have tried to search fucilare but I am not coming up with much but the word translates to "shoot"...

No, both parents were deceased. You'll see the word "furono" (they were) before Giuseppe's name. Fu (was) is singular and furono (they were) is plural. Angela Totally understand now that makes a ton of sense I could not figure out what that word was. Thank you so much for the help and exp...
