Re: Birth translation - Paolo Morena

He is quite young to be a veteran. I tried finding his military enrollment on the Salerno military site but wouldn't find him. Anyone know where these records could be held?

Re: Birth translation - Paolo Morena

It looks like the castle was converted into a prison in 1830. I'm hoping they worked there and weren't true residents.
I am waiting for his baptism record.

Birth translation - Paolo Morena

Hi,

Does anyone have time to translate a birth record? The record came from Procida-Family.com. Their index has Paolo's mother's surname listed as IORICE. According to other records I have her name was Maddalena Sorge. Possibly a translation error on Procida's site.

Thank you,
Anthony

Re: Morena from Procida

According to Italian White Pages, there are 58 occurrences of Morena's in Teggiano, and none in Procida. This is not a proof, but leads me to think that Savino and Maddalena were originally from Teggiano, and temporarily in Procida when Paolo was born. That is what I was thinking. Any idea which co...

Re: Morena from Procida

I also wanted to add the Morena's must have moved or returned to Teggiano before 1877, because Paolo's brother, Domenico was born.

Morena from Procida

Hi, While researching my family, I found a marriage record for my 2x great grandfather, Paolo Morena which I believe reads he was born in Procida, but was living in Teggiano, Salerno at the time of his marriage. I am trying to find out if his parents were originally from Procida, rather than Teggian...

Re: Maria Desallo (married to Antonio Mea/Mayo)

Unfortunately, I do not know Maria's parents names.
You believe Di Sallo is the correct spelling? I could not find a match on Cognomix for De Sallo or Di Sallo.

Thank you very much for the help.
