Italy World Club

Post by misbris »

The last few times I used this site, I got a red screen warning from Microsoft saying the site was not safe. Has anyone else had this problem. Is the site safe to use? That where I get the lists of alll the comunes.

I've never had a problem with that website, but here is a website I just recently came across that lists the towns.

I just accessed the website from both Internet Explorer and Mozzilla Firefox and didn't get any message using either. I use Firefox most of the time.

I use www.prontoimprese.it for the comunes. For some strange reason they pulled the Frazione listing off but I am substituting it with another listing as soon as it becomes avilable to me. =Peter=

I use www.comuni-italiani.it for the list of comuni. I find that pretty helpful.
My Italian surnames:

Caserta: Maietta, Rossano, Tessitore, Negro, Peluso, Musone

Campobasso: D'Andrea, Barile

Catanzaro: Fiorelli/Fiorillo, Romito

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm just upset because I like that site. I just got new anti virus protection, so I don't know if there is really something wrong with the site or my security setting is causing the problem.

The site Maestra36 suggested might be a good sub. Thanks.

I have pulled together the data and created a 37,211 line Excel spreadsheet arranged as below.

Because it is in spreadsheet form, it can be re-sorted based on any column, searched by name or part of name, etc. If you don't have Microsoft Excel, you can download a free viewer directly from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

If you are interested in a copy, PM me with your personal email and I will get it to you asap. If anyone knows of a free file hosting site (like photobucket is for images), let me know and I will upload it there.
