No, she was a widow, so Gaetano was deceased.
You looked for his death act before 1920?

I have checked the indici from 1907-1910 - not there :(

EDIT:
Also checked 1904-1906 - also not in any of those indici...

Just an entry error by the clerk.
I checked the documents and there is only one #58.

I had the same thought and went back to check again.
He was definitely living, it even gave his age in the Publication of Banns
(which, by the way, should be 70 and not 60 as my typo indicates  )

There is always the possibility that Sebastiana was not a widow in 1920...though the record identifies her as "vedova" - widow.

if sebastiana is 96 in 1920 - how old would he be after 1920?

Based on him being 70 in 1904... my guess would be 86, in 1920.

Her age seemed high when I read the morti... oftentimes these numbers are "guesses" by those declaring the death.

hi tessa

took quite a few days to go through all the deaths from 1900 to 1942 page by page

no death for gaetano passanisi

guess he died before 1900

am now going page by page in marriages looking for descendants

thanks

Yes, I was also unable to find him in the death acts.
FYI - he may have died somewhere else -
