Dated 4 January 1886 at 2:30 PM at the town office in Palermo, Borgata Acquasanta.
Appearing was Maria Rosa Corso, 50, housewife residing in this borgata (hamlet), to declare that at 11 PM on the 2 day of the current month, at the place at Vico Di Gregorio #69, to Giovanna Montana, age 33, housewife, wife of Filippo Corso, 34, sailor, here residing with him, was born a male child who she presented to the official and to whom was given the name VITO.
Witnesses to the record: Concetta Milaro, 50, housewife; and Francesco Martino, 49, laborer.
The declarant made the presentation of the above birth as she assisted in the birth to Giovanna Montana, and instead of the father who was not able.
