Hello.
These are great finds. These are all related as well.
Nicolo was the brother of Samuel (one of the 11 children).
--Valarie - did you happen to see where it stated 11 children / 7 living? (at the time). I checked on the census but it's hard for me to read.
Calato (Rosalia) was married to ...

Re: Looking for some info...please
Hi Valarie,
Yes, I do believe that is Cristina. That's incredible how you had found that.
On my records, I had Cristina married to Salvatore (possible Salovator Americanized?). The birthdate and death date, etc. everything else matches as well.
Giovanni (Joseph) Cordova was my 2nd great ...

Aren't tattoos addicting?
On my left arm, I have a half "Italian" sleeve in the works.
I have the Sicilian Flag (3 arms of Sicily) as well as my ancient coat of arms. Next Saturday I am adding some scenery to it as well. (a canal scene with the boat and buildings in the background). I'll post up ...

Hello again,
I am helping my girlfriend check into her family history. I found out (on her grandmother's side) information dating back to the mid 1700's! Absolutely shocking and excellent.
However on her grandfathers side, he must have been in hiding because we cannot locate anything.

Hello,
I haven't been here in forever. Hi Trish and Mj if you are still posting here.
I've received much new information from last time, but I think I ran into a wall. I have a subscription to ancestry.com, but it hasn't been cooperating in finding to much info for me.

Proper pronunciation
Good afternoon all!
My last name is D'Amore.
How would you actually pronounce that however? My cousin told me it was pronoced (Dee-amore-eh). I was told from another Italian that it is pronounced (Duh-more-eh). My grandmother pronounced it like my cousin did.
Please let me know. Thanks!

Rocco,
How far back have you traced your family tree? I am a D'Amore as well. I have my great grandparents infomation but I have had a horrible time trying to do further research because everybody died of an early age.
The D'Amore side I am tracing is from the Abruzzi region. Let me know and maybe ...

Good morning everybody,
Does anybody have the meaning or origional location of the surname Mancini? I'm trying to help out a friend and I can't seem to find any relevant info online? Even another site or engine would be helpful!

Re: D'Amore Coat of Arms
Thank you for the effort Gaetano. I went to the local book stores and they have a very poor selection of heritage and italian based books other than Italy/Sicily history.
I actually found my father's scroll he had from a while back and the crests very almost 100% similar. The knight helmuts were ...

Hello. I actually found a relatively cheap place online that supplies you with just a picture. It only cost $5.00.
I did however order the scroll with the coat of arms actually from the site above but am, still waiting to hear back.

Great finds everybody. I was hoping to find something related since my last name is D'Amore but I do not see a connection. It may be possible that we're connected down the line somewhere but there is a wrench in my research as my D'Amore family died at a very early age. My great gpa was born in ...

Thank you! I completely forgot I posted this before. I did send away a request to Sicily for some records for my grandmother Grace's side but I never received anything back. My father wrote the letter in Italian so it should have been legible.
