Wow!

I woke up this morning, thinking to see if anyone had posted anything, and here is an entire page of records and information deatailing most (if not all) of Antonio's life in the US! Not only that but you've discovered what could be Amalia's maiden name (D'Amore) and just left me speachless!

You are all AMAZING!
Thank you so much!

I've been looking at the dates and I've built up an image of the D'Amore family:

Giuseppe D'Amore (b.1846) + Antonetta Forio (b.1850) [1897 SHIP MANIFEST] =

1. Guiseppe D'Amore (b.1878) + Elizabeth (b.1883) [CENUS RECORD]
= Frank, Rosie, Mary F., Idah D.(?) and Jennie D'Amore

2. Amalia D'Amore (b.1881) + Antonio De Sio (b.1888) = Alfonso De Sio

3. Armando D'Amore (b.1894)

Do you think that this makes sense?

Dan,
it would work if Giuseppe b 1846 can be connected from his manifest, thru census, etc, to Giuseppe b 1878 (where Antonio was living in 1910) in Rayne, PA.
On the manifest Giuseppe b 1846 is headed to Brooklyn to see sons Sabato & Antonio?
I think a connection needs to be made...
Make sense?

Valarie,
I suppose I was getting ahead of myself, it's just the Amalia connection to the "brother-in-law" of Antonio seemed so promising...

On another note, while searching Ancestry.com, I found this:

1930 United States Federal Census Record
Name: Giuseppe Amore
Birth: abt 1877 - location
Residence: 1930 - city, New York, New York

The age seems perfect, so could this be him?

All the best,
Dan

Hey Everyone,

I think I may have located a record with Alfonso's wife on Ancestry:

Name: Maria Castelluccio
Birth: dd mm year
Death: mm 1975 - city, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States of America
Civil: Pennsylvania

It has been very hard locating more information, but hopefully more will come up.

Hi All,

According to the following census rcord Giuseppe "Joseph" D'amore came to America in 1905, however no record of this migration was found, does anyone know where i might locate it to find out who he travelled with or info regarding his next of kin?

Any help would be much appriciated!

So, according to the file he was born in 1877, plus the location, which seems to make him a perfect match!

Thank you very much vj!

If only we could now figure out the name of his cousin on the manifest; or find his wife's (Elizabeth) manifest - also 1905.
