MARRA/BOVA FAMILY IN REGGIO CALABRIA

looking for the birth records of angelo marra (feb.1878) and wife giuseppina/josephine bova( feb.1888) in reggio calabria. not sure if its simply reggio calabria or reggio di calabria,but there are no birth acts found for reggio di calabria.if anyone out there has a better internet connection than i do,and it doesn't take forever to search the www.antenati@beniculturali.it website,any help would be most appreciated. no idea if its the site or my connection,although i'm having the same issue at the local library.

thank you. according to some information i have,his wife josephine/giusseppina was born in feb.1888,and as,according to his naturalization record,they married in reggio in 1907,i assume she was born there as well. might be a year or 2 off,as i've found in many of these records compared to the dates given by the subjects. usually no more than that.

Some volumes of the Civil State of Reggio do not exist at the archive. If I remember well 1888 is one of those. There do exist copies at the comune though,
I went to the ofice of Anagrafe to ask permission to digitalize the volumes that are missing at the archive, but they did not want me to. Right now I am working my way though the Sovrintendenza, which promised their collaboration, but things are going very sticky here and one has to have a lot of patience to get things done.
