Help with Marriage record

Post by LorahV »

Hi there!
I found the marriage record for my great grandfather's (Giuseppe Madonia) first marriage (to Francesca Paola Guarino?), but I am having trouble translating it. I am attempting to find information about their daughter (my dad's aunt) who stayed in Sicily after her mother died and my ggfather came to the states. I'd like to find info about her and her children in hopes I can contact my dad's living cousins in Palermo when I'm there later this year.

The record I need is on the RIGHT hand page.

LMK if you need more info!

Many thanks in advance!

Francesca Paola Guarino was born on 2nd August 1866 in Partinico.
Birth act can be found in the allegati di matrimonio together with other acts.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... d=M9ZG-R8J

This is the arrival of Giuseppe in the States. Line 14
He goes to join his son Giacomo.
He travels with Sollema Antonina, bride to be of Madonia Antonino. (another son?)
When did Francesca Paola die?
Apparently, here in 1921 she was still alive.
