I think this is the more likely choice, closer to Genoa. Would there normally be records in Acqui Terme? Or would those be in Genoa?

Trouble deciphering a location

The image below was pulled from the 1855 Argentine Census, and shows the reported birthplace of my GGGGrandfather, Bartolo Piaggio. I can read the Genova fairly easily, but the place name to the left of it is difficult as I do not know Italy very well.

Does this look familiar to anyone?

I just started researching my family history again after more than a decade off, and have found some new leads that were previously unavailable. One is that of an ancestor, Bartolo Piaggio.

He is my GGG-Grandfather. We have found Argentine census records from 1855 that list him as 60 years old ...
