Thanks for your reply. I have been searching for some time and have drawn a blank. My father was Emilio Coda and as best I know, was from Biella. I have not been able to determine exactly when he arrived in America because there seem to be 2 dates when an Emilio Coda arrived. I don't know parent's name(s), but I do know he had at least 1 sister. The National Archives in Waltham, MA would be my next step. Your thoughts on other search avenues? Would you please send me information on the genealogical researches in Italy that you offer. Thanks.

Do you have dates so we can help search? There's an Emilio Coda born in 1881 in Needham, MA, on the 1930 census but this might be a little old to be your father.

My father was born in 1882 in Biella, Italy. He died in Needham, MA in 1946/47. So we may be looking at the same man. Do you have any info? Thanks.
