Chiaramonte is a popular name in Sicily. there is a Palazzo Chiaramonte in Palermo as well as a Chiaramonte brand of Sicilian wine.

i believe the name literally translates into "clear mountain" as do Claremont and other derivations.

my Chiaramontes are from Santa Ninfa.
