Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

My grandfather's last name has a double "C" and my father's and mine have only one "C"
What exactly do I have to do to correct this?
On what documents (birth/death/marriage certificates)?
Which state or states issued these documents?
Are your father and grandfather still living or deceased?
Thanks for your quick response!
We are all Argentinean citizens except of course for my Grandparents (they never renounced their original Italian citizenship status). I am a naturalized US citizen.
The discrepancy starts with my father’s Argentinean Birth Certificate. All his records, Marriage Certificate, Death Certificate, etc. and mine spell with only one "C".
There is one exception, on my Grandfather's Death Certificate both my grandfather's and father's spell with double "C". Go figure…
Thanks again…

Is the wait time for a certification of nonexistence of record from USCIS still two years?? Eeek!
