Re: Paolo Giorgi Revisited - Marriage & Death Certificates
And how would they go about recognizing their children? What type of records/accounts would there be?
Re: Paolo Giorgi Revisited - Marriage & Death Certificates
Sorry, I didn't explain well what I meant
Vagli Sopra is part of the Comune of Vagli Sotto, but has a different parish. Vagli Sotto: San Regolo, Vagli Sopra: San Lorenzo.
A child born in Vagli Sopra was declared to the Comune of Vagli Sotto, as you can see in Angelo's record, but the odds are that he was baptized in the parish of Vagli Sopra.
If you are looking for a christening in 1866 the best bet would be the parish of San Lorenzo
Or else write to the Diocesan Archive. They should have the copies of the Baptisms

Here you can find the rules for genealogical research in this archive
Tell them the name of the child, the approximate dob, the place of birth( you can add that you aren't sure if it was the parish of Vagli Sopra or that of Vagli Sotto) State the reason for your research and attach a copy of a document that proves your identity
