Hi everyone! I am currently embarking on gathering documents for a 1948 case which will be filed in the Court of Florence and was wondering if anyone could give some insight into how long it might take to get a court date.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hi
If you're at the very beginning stages of gathering documents, it will be quite some time before you file. At least a year, almost certainly more. 2-3 seems to be about typical from my own experience and other anecdotes I've come across. It depends on the complexity of the lineage, difficulty of finding and correcting documents, etc.
Any estimate that anyone could give feedback on regarding wait time for a court date in a particular jurisdiction at this juncture will probably not be relevant when you're eventually ready to file.
All of that said, the period I had to wait between filing and court date was about 7 months. But this was in a different jurisdiction, not Florence

For reference, Catanzaro is booking cases a year out.
I started my case with ICA just over 3 years ago and it has taken a considerable amount of time to get documentation corrected, mostly all the records in the USA. Recently full translations and apostille.
If all goes as planned, I should get citizenship in early 2025. I honestly think it will take longer, but this is what ICA stated.
