Re: help transcribing Liber Matrimoniorum for Giuseppe D'Eliso
I was able to find the surnames Farinacci on the italian site dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it. for Citta Sant'Angelo. I also found nascita for Michaele Crocetta as image 104 dated 7 May 1882. I found a Morte for Giuseppe Farinacci dated 1889 which is too early for the priest Joseph Farinacci to do ...

Re: help transcribing Liber Matrimoniorum for Giuseppe D'Eliso
Wow - that makes good sense! I double checked "Ego subscriptus Archipresbiter" online in the Latin-English dictionary Glosbe.com and "Ego subscriptus Archipresbiter" said "I signed [as] Archpriest" and "una pro tribus" said "one instead of three." Thank you for that great help.

1911 Joseph D'Eliso Liber Matrimonium crop 300ppi.jpg This Liber Matrimoniorum was copied from the church register and is not online in a database. Re: help transcribing Liber Matrimoniorum for Giuseppe D'Eliso
I have been thinking that the words after Nongentesimo could be "decimo primo" as an odd spelling for eleven meaning the first number after 10. This makes more sense to me because the year is one thousand nine hundred eleven. Could the priest have written an odd spelling for 1911? Appreciate any ...

Re: need help transcribing & translating front & back of Certificato di Matrimonio
Thank you so much for your help in transcribing and translating the two documents. I hope this reply finds you healthy in relation to COVID.
Does it make sense to release the certificate for the sole use of emigration for work purposes? It seems strange to me because Angiolina, the wife, never left ...

need help transcribing & translating front & back of Certificato di Matrimonio
I have tried to transcribe and translate the front side and back side of the Certificato di Matrimonio of Giuseppe Di Liso and Angiolina Costantini dated 22 January 1911 from the Comune di Citta Sant'Angelo.
The front side is fairly easy but the backside is all handwritten and the last sentence ...

Re: help with 1911 Pubblicazioni di Matrimonio of Giuseppe DiLiso
Thank you, Livio, for your corrected Italian words and the abbreviation for "testimone" after the witness names. When I went back to check the Italian words you gave they made good sense to my eyes. I wish I could read the Italian script as well as you do. I also went back and double-checked the ...
