Re: Eligibility: Illegitimacy and Name issues
Doubtful that A.F.'s name would be on her father's naturalization certificate, since A.F. was born in the U.S., and thus a U.S. citizen by birth, not naturalization.

Re: 1948 case birth certificate vs. baptismal record
Is there any chance she was born in 1909, but baptized in 1910? Also, surnames that looked "foreign" were often misspelled. Have you checked all the indexes?

Re: can you read the addresses of my great grandparents?
The numbers on North Fairhill Street don't seem to go as low as 970; they're 2000 and higher. Also, in 1906 the family lived at 717 Kimball Street, which is very close to 970 South Fairhill Street.

Re: Rare case
All I had to submit was my grandfather's Italian birth certificate, his naturalization certificate (from the 1950s, by which time my mother was already an adult), his U.S. marriage certificate, my grandmother's U.S. birth certificate, my parent's birth certificates, their marriage certificate, and ...

Re: US Cable Act NEVER Applied to Italian Women
My American-born grandmother married my Italian-born grandfather in November 1922. I guess she provided more information (maybe even had to appear at a ...

Re: name changes
This is a very old thread, but according to a tree on Ancestry, the immigrant ancestor was John Rich, b. 1881 in Italy, d. 1930 in Athens, New York. He had three children: Cordela (1901), Joseph (1905), and Anthony S. (1908). The immigration date is given as 1897.

Re: Birth Certificate from NY -Request for Judicial Intervention
Cosciaam, you are talking about records from New York CITY, while toasty was writing about New York STATE. It is apparently easier to order documents from New York City (Bronx, Manhattan, etc.) than from the state (areas of New York outside of NYC).
