Re: Help reading document
Thank you for the assist. The pic online was not great to begin with.
I was thinking that it said that his parents were unknown. Interestingly enough, while they went by Dolce, his son used both Dolce and Proietto. I wonder if this is because his dad's surname was unknown. I'm sure we can't prove ...

Does Josephi have a last name, and does it list parents for either of them? I cannot make out a last name, and ...

Re: Help deciphering marriage records
That's possible. I do have her father's (Ignazio Dolce) birth record and his parent's surnames are Dolce and Cimino. I haven't been able to find his death record, so maybe it's the change in the last name. Kids born to them later are also under Dolce. I guess that last name issue will remain a ...

Can someone help me understand where Giovanni Torcia is from? I am looking at record 29 on the right hand side - marriage of Giovanni Torcia and Teresa Romano. Can I get some help with the attached marriage record for Angelo Giaconia and Giovanna Di Gesu, entry 5 on p. 22? First, I am looking at Angelo's mother. It looks like her name is "Inifania", but I'm not sure. Second, I'm looking at where Angelo is from. I believe it says "Casselbono". Is this the ...

Re: Can someone help me with birth record
Here's the image for the possible birth record of Francesco.
Also, since my original post, I just started searching Francesco's parents, Antonino Cassara and Lucrezia Pinnico. I just found that Antonino's parent's are Paolo Cassara and Benedetta Sardisco (Francesco's grandparents). I'm attaching ...

Re: Can someone help me with birth record
Thanks. That makes sense.
This may be a stupid follow up but I am hoping to cover all my bases...I was able to locate all of his siblings' birth records, but not his. There was a hint on Ancestry which had his DOB as 7/30/1665. I know these hints aren't always acccurate, so I always confirm with ...
