Is anyone looking up Toffolo's? My mother came to USA in 1921 at age 11. Her father came to USA in 1910 and went to Detroit.

If on the other hand you want to conduct your own research then here is the progression. Work backward from the USA to Italy. You can go to eelisisland.org for their arrival in the USA and then you can rent out the microfilm of the civil records for Fanna, Udine at the nearest family History Library of the Mormon church which go back to 1871 to 1911. Prior records do not appear to exist save for the local church which we can furnish you with an address. You can also obtain documents from the Ufficio di Stato Civile in Fanna, Postale 33092, in the porovince of Pordeneone Friuli Venezia Giulia by writing in italian with form letters (www.circolocalabrese.org) in Italian. covering all births,marriages and deaths. We are members of a Toffolo family that came from Fanna in Friuli during the period that you mentioned. Three brothers and a sister came to Detroit and were active in the mosaic, tile, and terrazzo business when they came. The brothers are Anthony, Mark, and Santin. Their sister is Maria. We do know some of the history of this family.
