Carini Sicily

Hello, I just found this amazing forum. Are there any of you researching in Carini, Provincia di Palermo, Sicily? My grandmother's entire ancestry is from Carini. I started a Yahoo Group, where I uploaded all the church marriages for Carini taken from the Madre Chiesa (Mother Church) and spanning 1737-1797 at this point, more to follow. I will be transcribing and uploading many more records as time permits.

If you go to www.google.com and insert the surname and the word genealogy there will appear all references to genealogies completed or currently being surveyed for that surname or family. Peter

My husband's mother is from Carini (she still lives there as well as other siblings) her maiden name is Giambanco. I'm not really researching them as I've been actively researching my side of the family but will definitely have a look when I get the chance.
