Apparently, according to the following it is Joachim:

I think the name is actually a Hebrew name and the Italian name is "Giovacchino".

Gioachino (Joachim) was reported to be the father of Mary, the mother of Jesus. I think the name is first mentioned in one of the books of the Apocrapha (sorry my mind has gone completely blank on the spelling of this word :oops: ?) Just found the spelling Apocrypha - it still doesn't look right?
