Apparently, according to the following it is Joachim:

I think the name is actually a Hebrew name and the Italian name is "Giovacchino".
Gioachino (Joachim) was reported to be the father of Mary, the mother of Jesus. I think the name is first mentioned in one of the books of the Apocrapha (sorry my mind has gone completely blank on the spelling of this word
?) Just found the spelling Apocrypha - it still doesn't look right?
