Desolina or Pesolina Santarelli

I have this friend that has not been able to locate where her great grandparents came from in Italy.
She heard from her family that Desolina may have come through Canada.
She would like to know where Desolina came from a and who the grandparents are.
Desolina may have been very young when she came to USA, maybe even four years old.

Married to Athilio Marcucci

Attilio Marcucci MIGHT be from Arcevia, province of Ancona.

but I was wanting to verify where Desolina or Pesolina Santarelli was coming from in Italy, so that I could find out who Pesolina's grandparents are.

Desolina's parents are Francesco Santarelli and Annunizata Brunetti.

Looks like Desolina Von Santarelli was born in Nocera Umbra,Perugia
Shipmanifest line#12 mother is Annunizata Brunetti.

Here is an arrival for Desolina Santarelli in 1912 at age 2.
She arrives with mother, Annunziata Brunetti, and 6 older brothers.
They are from NOCERA UMBRA, and joining father, Francesco Santarelli, in Jesseps, PA.

This is pretty cool, I am a great grand daughter of Desoilina and Atilio and I was thinking of traveling to PA to take a history tour by visiting where their farm was on Spring Hill, and the stone work he did at the Marie Antoinette Lookout. If I can find the farm and their old house. I always wondered "Nonni's" pairents names. Anything else you can share for my trip?

I'm confused by my research tonight. The story in the family has always been that Desolina and Attilio got married when she was 13. Her entry (mentioned above) in 1912 @ 2 years old would have meant she was born in 1910. His obituary says they were married in 1926, which would have made her 16...

Attilio and Desolina were married 25 June 1925. Following is a copy of their marriage license from Lackawanna County PA. Desolina states her age as 18 but I believe she was about 16 based on her age and approximate year of birth from the above ship manifest.

Desolina's father Francesco died in 1918, likely from the Spanish flu. He was widowed at the time so Annunziata Brunetti died sometime between her arrival in 1912 and his death in 1918.

These are my great grandparents as well. Noni (Desolina) insisted I be named after her. She was mistakenly entered into the ships log as “Pesolina” when they immigrated when she was two years old. Nono (Attilio) lived to be 104, and had the BEST stories.
