Buona Sera,
I am searching slowly through volumes in family search, and wonder why in one volume there are two parts.
First numbered in sequence then a second "Parte 2" usually all handwritten. Are these records different in any way? and are they included in the index?
Grazie mille,
Trizia

Parte 2 (Part 2) includes the births that occurred outside the Comune of residency. They are includd in the Index.

Re: Layout of books of atti di nascita in volumes
thanks, can I also ask what "proietta" means, from what I can make of the writing I'm guessing these were children born to unmarried parents? This is not a relative, but I'm just trying to understand the system of numbering and what it means? Thanks

It's an abandoned female child. If the word ends in "o," it's a male.
