Capponi and Nardinocchi Family records

Post by AnnmariePSU »

Hello,
I am having difficulty locating my family's records.
My great- grandfather was Giovanni Capponi
BIRTH 3 SEP 1889 • Ascoli Piceni, Italy
DEATH 19 MAY 1955 • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Giovanni had a brother: Ottiavano Capponi
BIRTH 8 DEC 1888 • Ascoli Piceno, Italy
DEATH 29 SEP 1969 • Lower Merion, Montgomery, Pennsylvania
After arriving in Philadelphia in 1913, Ottaviano stared the Societa' Beniamino Gigli. A society for Italian's immigrating from Marche to Philadelphia.

According to Giovanni's death certificate, his father was Nazzareno Capponi, and mother was Catherine Angelini.
I can't locate any further records.

Giovanni was married to my great grandmother: Louise Nardinocchi BIRTH 24 NOV 1902 • Italy
DEATH JUN 1978 • Philadelphia, PA. They lived in Baltimore, MD for sometime.
Louise father is: Filippo Nardinocchi
BIRTH 11 FEB 1874 • Ascoli Piceni, Italy
DEATH APR 1963 • Maryland
Her mother's names was Elizabeth, I cannot locate her last name.

Louise's siblings are:Rudolph 1904-1977. Albert 1907-1973, George: 1912-1939, and Joseph: 1914-1986.
I believe the came to the USA in 1907 or 1911. After coming to the US they shortened their last name to Nardi.

If anyone can provide me with more info, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd like to find out more about Nazzareno Capponi and Catherine Angelini, as well as Fillipo Nardinocchi and his wife Elizabeth.

Are there any good resources to locate records for the Ascoli Piceno/ Marche area?

Annmarie,

Hi. I believe I am your cousin. My Angelini family is also from 49th street in Philadelphia. I've been talking to Joe Vagnoni about the connection.

SUANJ!!! I haven't been on this board in many years, but I remember you and all your kindness.

Can we add to the Angelinis from Ascoli Piceno the names....

Amedio Angelini who married Domenica Orazio both born some time near 1860 who according to family lore had 14 children in Ascoli... One was my great grandfather Nazzareno Angelini (b. 1895).

I believe this Nazzareno is a cousin of yours Annmarie.
